Pam said, "Goodbye Mom"

March 24, 2007,  was Pam mom's birthday. Pam gave her mother this picture of her. On the back of the picture, she wrote:                            

To My Mom:  Its been a long time since I've taken a picture, but here is a big one for you.  Now you can look at me everyday when you pray, and when you just miss me too.  After all you are looking in the mirror at the beautiful black woman you raised, and looks just like you. 

Baby Girl, Pam 2-07 Later that night, Pam was sitting in her boyfriend's car, when she was hit by a single bullet, and later passed away at USC Medical Center

Happy Birthday Mom!

I have so many memorable moments of my mom.   I remember the last time I saw her, she came to stay at my house with my family for a week, and we had so much fun laughing and hanging out.  She got to see her grand kids for the last time.  Just to see and hold her was a blessing for me.  At this visit, I didn't know it was going to be the last time I saw my mother.  Her death (Dec. 7, 2008) three days after my birthday, was untimely and devastating.
